Rainbow RuntZ

weedviewer Review

Rating: 7.4/10

Verdict

Rainbow RuntZ is a flavour chaser, with a phenomenal, sweet berry/grape aroma and a deeply relaxing hybrid high. It is held back from a true top-tier rating by a darker, harsh-burning finish, but the exceptional terpene profile still makes it a very enjoyable treat.

Rainbow RuntZ: WeedViewer Review

[{"content":"Runtz is a balanced hybrid cannabis cultivar commonly described as roughly 50% indica and 50% sativa. It was developed and popularized in California by the Runtz Crew: Yung LB, Ray Bama, and Nick, through genetics combining Zkittlez and Gelato, with later support from the Cookies network helping expand its reach. The strain became highly influential in the breeding scene, due to its colourful appearance, dense trichome coverage, and unique sweet candy-like flavour profile.","heading":"About"},{"content":"Visually, these buds carry a charming, organic \"bio homegrown\" appeal. They are nicely compact without looking like those rock-hard, machine-shaved nuggets, retaining a few natural sugar leaves here and there. The flowers are frosted in a layer of sparkling trichomes that catch the light beautifully. What makes this batch truly special, though, is the different buds harvested from the exact same plant display multiple different colours from nice purples to bright greens, perfectly living up to the \"Rainbow\" name.","heading":"Visual"},{"content":"This batch is exceptionally loud and delivers exactly what you want and expect from a high-tier Runtz phenotype. On opening the jar, you are immediately hit with a potent, sweetness laced with deep, dark fruity undertones. The scent profile is robust and unapologetically pleasant, carrying that distinct, high-end candy fragrance that fills the space effortlessly.","heading":"Aroma"},{"content":"The flavour profile translates nicely on the inhale, treating you to a strong, well-defined burst of sweet berries and grape. This initial sweetness is backed up by slightly, creamy notes in the background. The smoke does an excellent job of coating your mouth, leaving a highly enjoyable taste that lingers on the palate for a considerable amount of time. The only minor drawback is that not every draw is the same there are some puffs here and there where the profile shifts toward a more basic, herbal profile. Overall, however, it is a remarkably strong, enjoyable flavour with some staying power.","heading":"Flavour"},{"content":"The high is a classic hybrid experience with a gradual, smooth onset. It strikes an even balance between a happy, euphoric head-high and a wave of physical relaxation, both hitting a comfortable, medium to strong potency. It puts you in an uplifted yet really relaxed state. While you can still manage basic tasks, it can leave you feeling a bit too daydreamy to be considered truly functional, making it better suited for a lazy afternoon or an evening unwind.","heading":"Effects"},{"content":"The burn is unfortunately the weakest link in an otherwise great experience. While the joint lights up fine and starts off kind of smooth, the performance quickly degrades. The ash leans heavily toward the darker side, and the smoke develops a harsher edge on the throat as you progress. It is not the cleanest or most consistent burn on the market, but if you can look past some rough pulls, it remains somewhat acceptable.","heading":"Burn Quality"}]
