WeedViewer Review

Rating: 5/10

Verdict

Ghost Pure Sweatband by Hollandse Hoogte delivers a strong, sedative body high suitable for late evening sleepiness, but it is heavily let down by a stale aroma profile and a slightly harsh burn for a 28/2.5 gram price.

Ghost Pure Sweatband: WeedViewer Review

[{"content":"Ghost Pure Sweatband carries an officially undisclosed genetic lineage. However, given that Hollandse Hoogte works in close collaboration with Karma Genetics for many of their selections, the most logical match is Karma's (Ghost OG × Pure Kush) × Sweatband mother selection. This lineage brings together the pine-citrus gas of Ghost OG, the dense physical weight of Pure Kush, and the heavy diesel tones of Sweatband (707 Headband × Chemdawg). Strains from this genetic tree are traditionally expected to yield pungent fuel, pine, and earthy skunk notes coupled with deep physical sedation.","heading":"About"},{"content":"Clean light green buds featuring a dense and compact structure with a neat hand trim. The trichome coverage is clearly visible across the calyxes, though the batch leans a bit dry on the moisture side.","heading":"Visual"},{"content":"Dominated by stale, herbal tones with a faint gassy backdrop. Grinding the flower releases a touch more gas, but the stale, muted scent remains the dominant characteristic.","heading":"Aroma"},{"content":"Translates decently from the aroma, but the resulting flavour profile is uninspiring. It tastes predominantly stale and herbal with a light gassy note. Flavour longevity and complexity are minimal, leaving a plain, slightly flat taste on the palate.","heading":"Flavour"},{"content":"The strongest aspect of the flower. It creeps in gradually with a light head high before settling into a heavy body high that induces significant couch lock and sleepiness. The high lasts roughly 3 hours with a smooth, gradual comedown, making it effective for late night relaxation.","heading":"Effects"},{"content":"Maintains a straight and even burn consistency throughout the joint. However, the ash settles into a medium grey color, and the smoke leans slightly harsh on the throat, making for an overall underwhelming smoking experience.","heading":"Burn Quality"}]
