Lemon Papaya

weedviewer Review

Rating: 7.9/10

Verdict

Lemon Papaya is a good terpene-forward Sativa-hybrid that punches above its weight class, offering great value at just €8 per gram. It delivers a refreshing, lemonade-and-tropical-fruit flavour profile that translates from the jar to the smoke, paired with a classic energetic, clear-headed, and happy "Sativa" high. While the burn performance is okay and lacks perfect consistency, the great flavour and nice price point make this a worthwhile choice for anyone prioritizing taste without breaking the bank.

Lemon Papaya: WeedViewer Review

[{"content":"Developed by The Grateful Seeds, Lemon Papaya is a Sativa-hybrid that emerged from the modern wave of flavour-focused selection. The cultivar was created by pairing Lemon Shocker, selected for its sharp citrus profile, with an elite cut of Papaya, a lineage highly prized for its sweet, tropical fruit aroma and exceptional trichome quality. The primary breeding objective was to introduce a sharp, sour citrus complexity into the traditionally heavy Papaya framework while retaining the dominant resin production and large-headed glandular trichomes that make the line a favourite for extractions. ","heading":"About"},{"content":"The nose on this is impressive and distinct. It opens with a really pleasant, sweet, lemonade like aroma backed by a noticeable sourness. It smells great, unique, and strong right out of the gate. Once ground, the profile shifts to reveal more of those ripe tropical fruit hints. Overall, it delivers a highly distinct, pleasant, and well rounded smell.","heading":"Aroma"},{"content":"The flavour translates quite well from the initial aroma, offering a mostly sweet, lemony lemonade taste right in the front, with a background of papaya and tropical fruits holding it up. The flavour lingers nicely for a bit after the exhale. It provides a great, interesting flavour experience that stands out from more common lemon-forward strains on the market, though the flavour could ultimately be a bit stronger and more pronounced.","heading":"Flavour"},{"content":"This strain delivers a very uplifting and euphoric headspace which has something energizing as well, exactly the type of experience a lot of consumers seek out when looking for a traditional \"Sativa\" effect. It is functional, energizing, happy, and uplifting. The onset is gradual, creeping up and getting stronger over time. After 2-3 hours it has gentle comedown. If overindulged though, it can become quite strong after the initial onset and you will lose that more functional high.","heading":"Effects"},{"content":"The burn performance is decent and fine enough to enjoy a pure smoke, though it isn't amazing. It is not too sharp on the throat and has mostly light grey ash. However, it doesn't always burn perfectly even, and you can expect a some rough pulls here and there.","heading":"Burn Quality"}]
