Rainbow Belts Strain Info & Reviews

WeedViewer Review

Rating: 6.8/10

Verdict

Linsboer's Rainbow Belts is an absolute treat for the nose, serving up a beautiful cocktail aroma, but the actual smoking experience falls a bit short. Due to a harsh smoke and muted translation in flavour. Its best reserved for a heavy night time joint where you care far more about getting knocked out than the smoothness of the smoke.

Rainbow Belts: WeedViewer Review

[{"content":"Emerging from the surge of candy terp popularity pioneered by Original Zkittlez in the late 2010s, Rainbow Belts was bred by Archive Seed Bank in Oregon. Created by crossing Zkittlez with Archive's resinous Moonbow #75 (itself a cross of Zkittlez x Do-Si-Dos), this double-shot of Zkittlez genetics was explicitly designed to lock in a mouth watering fruity candy flavour profile while improving Zkittlez’s notoriously finicky garden habits, boosting flower structure and resin density.","heading":"About"},{"content":"This is easily the highlight of the batch. If you love sweet terps, this hits you with a strong, loud wave of fruity candy, think a heavy mix of grapes, tropical fruit and berries. It starts off strongly reminiscent of Original Zkittlez, but once you put it through the grinder, the tropical notes come forward and gets a more unique identity.","heading":"Aroma"},{"content":"The Zkittlez heritage tries its absolute best to come through here, offering a tropical, fruity profile that mimics the smell. However, it feels held back. The flavour wants to pop, but it stays soft and a bit muted. Interestingly, it does have some decent retention that lingers on the palate for a bit, but the taste definitely degrades and fades the further down the joint.","heading":"Flavour"},{"content":"It delivers a solid, heavy body punch. The high skips the cerebral part and goes straight for a classic, heavy stoned feeling. It’s deeply relaxing and wraps up with a strong wave of sleepiness, making it a great choice right before bed when you just want to shut your brain off.","heading":"Effects"},{"content":"It burns fairly evenly and even manages to stack a nice oil ring, but the smoke itself is rough on the throat with most hits. The ash is a disappointing dark grey. It’s not an absolute disaster, but it’s definitely not a pleasant experience. Don't recommend this one if you prefer smoking it pure.","heading":"Burn Quality"}]
