Lemon Haze

Rating: 6.9/10

Verdict

This Lemon Haze is a decent option that stays true to its roots but lacks a premium finish. While the focused high is a definite highlight, the inconsistent burn and fading flavour keep it from being standout.

Lemon Haze: WeedViewer Review

[{"content":"Lemon Haze is an iconic, sativa-dominant strain known for its sharp citrus profile and high-energy effects. The lineage traces back to 1970s California, where breeders stabilized the original \"Haze\" by blending tropical landrace genetics from Colombia, Mexico, Thailand, and India. These genetics were later refined in the Netherlands, where the specific Lemon Haze phenotype was developed by crossing Lemon Skunk with Silver Haze. This cross successfully paired the intense, cerebral \"racy\" high of traditional sativas with the heavy resin production and pungent citrus aromas of modern Dutch hybrids. Today, it remains a global standard for potent, uplifting cannabis, favoured for its ability to provide mental clarity and stimulation without physical heaviness.","heading":"About"},{"content":"On opening the bag, you’re greeted by a classic profile: a fresh sweet, lemony haze that is pleasant and present, even if it doesn't immediately fill the room. Once ground, the profile shifts slightly, the initial sweetness takes a backseat to a more robust, spicy haziness, though the lemon remains the star of the show.","heading":"Aroma"},{"content":"The flavour translates decently from the scent, offering a slightly sweet, citrus-forward smoke accented by spiciness. It’s enjoyable, though it lacks a bit of staying power. As the session progresses, the intensity of the lemon tends to taper off, leaving a more subtle herbal finish.","heading":"Flavour"},{"content":"The high settles in with a fast yet gradual onset, delivering a classic Sativa experience. This is a pure head-high with almost no physical weight. It strikes a great balance between being \"spacey\" and functional, you might feel a bit of a psychedelic edge, yet your vision remains sharp and your mind mostly focused. It’s an uplifting experience that provides that signature mental clarity without the \"couch-lock\" drag.","heading":"Effects"},{"content":"The burn is a bit of a mixed bag. Visually, it performs decent, producing a mostly light grey ash. However, the smoke itself can be slightly harsh on the throat. The consistency varies throughout the joint, some draws are smoother than others. ","heading":"Burn Quality"}]
